How do I set up moderation alerts for my Facebook group?

Only group admins and moderators can set up moderation alerts in their group.
When you set up moderation alerts in your Facebook group, you'll be notified when posts or comments might need your attention. There are three kinds of moderation alerts:
  • Keyword alerts: Lets you know when members use certain words or phrases in your group.
  • Engagement alerts: Lets you know when posts or comments in your group are getting a certain number of comments, replies or reactions based on criteria that you set.
  • Conflict alerts: Lets you know when there might be conflict in the comments on a post.
To set up moderation alerts:
  1. From your Feed, click Groups in the left menu and select your group. If you can't see Groups, click See more.
  2. Click Moderation alerts in the left menu, then click settings.

To review moderation alerts:

  2. Click Moderation alerts in the left menu.
  3. For keyword and engagement alerts: click Ignore to disregard the alert, or click Remove to remove the content from your group.
  4. For conflict alerts: click Ignore to disregard the alert, or click See post to review the possible conflict. You can then moderate the content by taking action such as suspending someone, tagging a rule, slowing down comments or temporarily limiting someone's activity in the group.
There is no limit to the number of keyword alerts that you can add.
Bear in mind that you'll only receive engagement alerts if your criteria is met within a 1-hour period. For example, if you set an engagement alert for posts that receive 100 comments, you will receive an alert if a post receives 100 comments over a 1-hour period; you will not receive an alert if it takes more than an hour for a post to receive 100 comments.
