Last year, shortly after my June birthday, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I had to start aggressive chemotherapy right away. What is aggressive? Well, I also called it ?extremo? (extreme chemo), it was 6 rounds of 24/7 chemotherapy. The first round, I had to stay in the hospital, and rounds 2-6 I wore a fanny pack like bag that automatically pumped a specified amount of chemo through my body for 5 days.

This year, 2020, I can proudly say I am a cancer survivor. I am back to work after taking medical leave, and my work to help find a cure for cancer is even more important especially during the current pandemic. We are experiencing a covid-19 crisis, and cancer research and relief doesn?t stop, if anything it?s more urgent than ever. There are so many cancer patients that have lost their job and health insurance during this time. They need us. They need you. I need you.
